Moncharm | Château Cheval Blanc 1998
One of the most magnificent wines of Cheval Blanc in the second half of the 20th century, Château Cheval Blanc 1998 is a perfect marriage of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot. The unusual blend of the grapes gives the vine a stunning dark purple color. The bouquet is flamboyant, with delightful, enchanting aromas of plums, mulberries, cocoa, menthol and vanilla and an insignia of new saddle leather. Having sampled this wine, Moncharm believes this wine has a quintessential full-bodied texture with unmatchable balance and purity. It is worth a bit of patience, give it a few years of cellaring and you have a well developed, matured wine.
Cheval Blanc vineyards are renowned for producing high-quality grapes. The vineyard has been on the maps of Belleyme right from 1764, and this experience of centuries is reflected in the unique flavour of the wine.
