Moncharm | Château Hosanna 2008
Competing closely with the finest Hosanna labels 2009 and 2010, the 2008 is a remarkable vintage. The wine has a rich plum color with a purple tinge and offers a bouquet of many flavours like spring flower, boysenberries, black currant, white chocolate and forest floor. The sumptuous texture and fleshy palate makes this wine irresistible. This wine will be at its finest in 15 to 20 years.
Located in the Libourne region beside the Dordogne River, Château Hosanna was founded in 1937. It has got international recognition for its premium Bordeaux wines. The founder, Jean-Pierre Moueix, was a visionary and one of the most influential people of the region in those days. He understood the intricacies of the market and its demands and invested in this property in 1952. The 40-year-old vines of this vineyard create top quality fruits for the wine.
Pomerol is a small area in the heart of Bordeaux but it produces wines that are unparalleled. The most prized and sought-after wine, Chateau Pétrus, is produced in this region. The region has a gravel based soil with intermittent clay, which is excellent for the rich flavours of the wines.
