The palate is magnificently full-bodied, concentrated and impeccably pure. Though this wine is already approachable,it's advised to cellar it for 3 years. The wine can easily drink well for 25 years.
Château Léoville Poyferré was created in 1840 as a result of the division of the large Léoville estate. The famous 1855 Classification included this estate as a second growth. The Cuvelier family purchased this property in 1920 and the present proprietor Didier Cuvelier inherited it in 1979. The estate made some significant investments to replenish the quality of the produce under the initiative of Didier. The vineyards and the cellar were renovated. With the advice of renowned consulting oenologist Michel Rolland, the unique blend is made after adhering to many quality parameters. As a result, the Léoville Poyferré wines are brilliantly well-balanced and have a phenomenal finesse and aging potential.
