Moncharm | Château Pavillon Rouge 2003
A delicious Château Petrus vintage, the 2007 label is ready to be drunk immediately. It has a dark ruby/purple colour accompanied by a bouquet of mulberries, cedarwood, black cherries, and earthy notes. It has a medium to full-bodied texture with velvety tannins and balanced acidity. This wine will drink well for over 15 years.
Over the past 50 years, Château Petrus has travelled from being a nobody to a somebody. Labels of this wine are regarded high by wine connoisseurs because of their uniqueness. The credit of this uniqueness goes to a few factors lik e, exceptional terroirs - It is located 40 meaters above the sea, and a mix of clay soil and iron rich subsoil. These factors contribute to high quality of the fruit.
Pomerol is a small area in the heart of Bordeaux but it produces wines that are unparalleled. The most prized and sought-after wine, Chateau Pétrus, is produced in this region. The region has a gravel based soil with intermittent clay, which is excellent for the rich flavours of the wines.
