Moncharm | Château Rauzan Segla 2009
Just like other Margaux terriors, the Château Rauzan Segla 2006 boasts of rich tastes on the palate, an elegant and fragrant bouquet, and exceptional balance.
Château Rauzan Segla has an interesting history dating back all the way to 1661, when Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan took over the The Noble House of Gassies from the de Gascq family. This man was nothing short of a wine visionary, managing greats like Château Margaux and Château Latour in addition to Château Rauzan Segla back then! Growing over the years and now managed by John Kolasa, who is also in charge of Château Canon, Rauzan Segla went through a modernization period, which shows in its excellent 2005, 2009 and 2010 labels, in addition to others.
The southern most region in the Médoc’s appellations, Margaux is renowned for its leading wine labels. It has a gravel-rich soil which facilitates excellent drainage and promote deep root development of the vines. The leading labels of this region like Margaux are unique due to the wines of balanced concentration, intense aromas and unsurpassable finesse.
