Moncharm | Domaine Armand Rousseau Gevrey Chambertin Lavaux Jacques 2010
A delightfully aromatic wine, the 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Lavaux, is a pleasurable experience especially in Moncharm's opinion right from the moment it is poured in the glass. The bouquet is an enchanting amalgamation of floral notes, spices and nuances of small red fruits. On the palate, this outstanding wine is very light and has an impeccable purity. Coming from the last parcel in 2010, this label is remarkable for its transparency and delicious flavours. It is anticipated to be matured between 2015 to 2025.
The Domaine Armand Rousseau is one of the most revered estates in Burgundy. The vineyards of this estate spreads over 14.9 hectares with complete production dedicated to Pinot Noir. The Domain was incepted in early 20th century, and the Chambertin was added recently in 1956. The founder of the estate, Armand Rousseau, was one of the pioneers of the strategy of selling bottled units of the wines to the consumers directly.
Famous for its brilliant terroir and exemplary red and white wines, Burgundy is one of the notable wine regions in France. The wines are chiefly made from the marriage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This region accommodates more than 100 remarkable appellations. The amazing variety of vine produced in this region is chiefly due to the fertile slopes of the Saone River.
