Moncharm | Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche 2011
An astonishingly complex label from the house of Domain Ponsot, the Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche 2011 has many layers of delight. The bouquet is a unique conglomeration of low and high-toned fragrances of red berries with interludes of leather, tea, spices underbrush and smoked jerky. These elements also mark their presence on the well textured, intense and ful-bodied palate. The finish is delightfully long and exploding with spiced nuances. The wine requires at least 15 years of cellaring to reach its peak.
Eshtablished by William Ponsot in 1772, The Domaine Ponsot is the maker of one of the most premium labels in Burgandy. Famous for its brilliant terroir and exemplary red and white wines, Burgundy is one of the notable wine regions in France. The wines are chiefly made from the marriage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This region accommodates more than 100 remarkable appellations. The amazing variety of vine produced in this region is chiefly due to the fertile slopes of the Saone River.
