Moncharm | DRC La Tache 2002
Moncharm would say this wine is defined by it's youthful character, the 2002 Domaine de la Romanee Conti La Tache is impossible to resist. It has an elegant medium deep colour matched with an appealing bouquet of persistent raspberry and black cherry fruity notes with nuances of spices and herbs. This youthful wine exhibits firm complexity which is ahead of its age. The palate is powerful, concentrated and dense. Though the wine is approachable, its best days are yet to come which can be realized after a brief cellaring for 5 to 10 years.
Considered as nonpareil in Burgundy, the Domaine de la Romanee-Conti holds the accolade of some of the most revered wines in the whole world. It is one of the two best grand cru vineyards which are entirely owned by the Domaine. It is arguably the best vineyard in the region. The estate produces sublime wines that are highly sought after and rarest in the world.
Famous for its brilliant terroir and exemplary red and white wines, Burgundy is one of the notable wine regions in France. The wines are chiefly made from the marriage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This region accommodates more than 100 remarkable appellations. The amazing variety of vine produced in this region is chiefly due to the fertile slopes of the Saone River.
