Moncharm | Domaine Ponsot Clos de la Roche 2011
Rich in enchanting aromas of mocha, roasted spices and toasted oak, Romanée-St-Vivant 2002 is a pleasant light bodied wine. The palate is delightfully suave and silky with strong notes of Black cherry and blackberry interlaced with surprising notes of Violets and cafe au lait. The mouth feel is amazing with a wonderful, long finish with firm tannins. Though, this vintage is a sleeping giant and asks for some patience. It will be good to go between 2009 to 2016.
