Moncharm | Krug 2000

Moncharm | Krug 2000

Combining an exotic nose of nougat, hazelnut, caramel, pastries and fresh bread, this light gold colored champagne rewards the senses with a complex palate of intense citrus fruit, lime zest, fig, anise and grapefruit, which trails into a lasting briny finish. Moncharm would recommend this can be drunk now and until 2027.
Founded by Joseph Krug in 1843, the House of Krug is a prominent champagne producer from Reims, France. Managed by the same family and house over the years, Krug is known as one of the finest producers of champagne in the world, and is now owned by LVMH Moët Hennessy • Louis Vuitton S.A, owners of Moët & Chandon, Ruinart, Veuve Clicquot and more. Since 2009, Olivier Krug has been the House Director, ensuring his family’s legacy lives on.
The Champagne region is best known for its sparkling white wine namesake, a beautifully complex drink with fresh and fruity characteristics. Characterized by chalk subsoil and cool temperatures which give the wine its distinct flavor and acidity, the most grown grapes here include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
